Please help. My internal drum sounds are being hard panned to the left for no apparent reason

I can't find any cause for this being the case despite hours of searching, and I would truly appreciate any assistance. This is having a very negative effect on my ability to produce music, and is incredibly frustrating as I don't see any reason for Logic to be doing this.

Thanks

Hmm, what I'd do at this point is:

1) Bypass all plugins on drums tracks to rule out that it's an issue or a setting in plugins used, and

2) Check if there's any automation enabled on these tracks.

You may also open "Drum Kit Designer" plugin window and go to "Controls" view, like so:

Try to tweak controls to see if any of them allows you to return panning back to normal.

Thanks for your guidance and your patience...it is much needed despite using Logic, and previously Cubase, for many years.

Tried everything you suggested and nothing makes any difference to it's position in the stereo field.

Part of the frustration is not understanding how this could occur. I'm certainly no expert with Logic, although I have been using it to do what I need for many years, but I'm pretty sure that I've not set anything up to make this problem happen.

I think I'm going to open a new project, load a producer kit, and see where the sounds are placed.

Thanks again so much for your help

It's a long process writing the drum parts as I write each beat in individually with the pencil tool, often editing them for volume and positioning them slightly forward or behind the beat to simulate an authentic drummer. I use the producer kits as I can effect and pan each drum sound independently, but I only ever use slight panning just to fill the stereo field, and do this using the pan control on each sound.

I'll try deleting these panning events now and let you know how it goes.

If I can give you more info do let me know.

You're being a massive help.

Whoops....got it. Just hadn't highlighted the regions.

My bad!

Started off so promisingly. After deleting the pan info I had perfect stereo spread....and the the hard left pan for bass drum and tom toms started again. On going back into the List Editor the panning controls are there again!

Could this be a software issue, and could my download of Logic be faulty?

Unfortunately I fear this peculiar issue may not be over yet.

I'm currently using version 10.6 although it was also happening on the previous version I was using. I had hope that the upgrade to 10.6 would resolve the issue, but unfortunately it didn't.

I shall certainly take a look at the LPH forum and see if anyone else has had this problem.

Thanks again
