I purchased air pod 3's from Costco, I went to return them and they wouldn't take them back because the Serial number on the AIRpod case didn't match the box, this is the only box I have!! Is Costco selling fake AirPods? They lady looked at me like I was a crook, these are the AirPods they Sent me !!

Contact Coco's HR Department. That's the best I can think of. These are user-to-user forums. No one here has any day in returns. We are just everyday Apple users like yourself.
Get these from Apple:
Take this as a Learning Experience: The next time you purchase AirPods, get them from Apple. This seller should have known better. Getting them from Apple, there would no issues with troubleshooting this,.
