can i save files from non-apple apps in an iPhone backup with the finder?

When backing up iPhone Xr to my iMac using OS 12.1 there is a heading for FILES. Can I add files this way and how do I do it?

Your response was helpful. When you click on the FILES tab you see the non-Apple apps listed. Clicking on one then shows the documents for that app. What I didn't realize was you simply drag a file from the computer into the iPhone window to add that file onto the iPhone. So used to the old iTunes method I never thought of something this simple.
