windows do not appear when switching spaces

Hello, I am experiencing a slightly annoying problem when I switch full-screen apps.

I keep most of my apps full-screen for convenience, so they each have their own Space. But quite often (but not always) when I use cmd-tab to switch between them, the app name appears in the menu bar but their windows do not appear. The windows only appear if I switch back to the previous Space and then return to the Space I want, but not the first time. This does not seem to be related to any particular app, and seems to only happen if I have been in one app for a long period of time and then switch – once the switching is working as expected it carries on working until I remain in an app for a while.

As I say, this is annoying rather than a serious problem, but I wonder if anyone else had come across this?

Thanks!

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.1

I have seen some glitches / bugs here as well.
