I just got AirPods and am having an issue with Spotify. If I am listening on my AirPods and leave the Spotify app to go to a different app or lock my phone, the music stops. Any ideas on how I can listen while using other apps or when my phone is locked.

I used the third gen ones and they still play, they may be not updated check it by setting>Bluetooth<press the i on ur AirPods and check version if it is not 4C170 then leave the AirPods charging for a few hours next to your phone
