updater

on start up of MacBook air i get a min of 50 files pop up on main screen with the name updater i can't delete them but i can eject them one at a time only to come back on next restart

i have run anti virus and malware but it finds nothing.

any ideas??

Finder / Folder Content not refreshing when copying and creating files. This is the same issue as https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8584001 That thread should not be closed as this is still an outstanding bug in OS X. Finder does not update files. It's been 20 minutes and counting since exporting an audio file to desktop that doesn't show up. This happens all the time. The only "solution" recommended in that thread is to delete a plist file from Library/Prefrerences -- what do you know, that did nothing for me. Big surprise. So what am I supposed to do? This is seriously impeding my workflow. I paid *way* too much for my MacBook Pro to have to tolerate this weak nonsense. This is pathetic.

Is Disk Utility; best way to rid of Corrupted files/..or another way? It seems; some websites have thrown me.. corrupted files: WHAT is the best way to Rid of these files on my Mac MINI? I'm on Mojave 10.14.6. there was another way/ on the Mac to diagnose problems/infected files..just cannot think of it..thanks! Larry In NYC NY

First, please determine if the same problems occur in "Safe Mode": How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support. Then, restart your Mac normally (not "Safe Mode").
