external hard drive crashing my Mac

I have a 10 tb Lacie external drive and have it install on my Mac the system locks up

I have out external drive working find

I tying connecting to another Mac and same issue

seem like the mark drive is bad, although I can open it at first but over time the computer lock up

Try to run disk first aid but say can not unmount

any ideas before I erase it and/or trash this hard drive
