Wired Keyboard won't work... HELP! IMAC (27-INCH, LATE 2013 3.5 I7

Not sure why, but when I connect any wired keyboard, the USB ports won't power them BUT, the mouse is fine? Any ideas ?

Plug in keyboard not working. I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2015) with Mojave 10.14.6. It came with a wireless keyboard. I replaced this with an extended Apple keyboard (not wireless). I plugged it in and it worked fine. After several weeks it suddenly stopped working. What could have happened?
