Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference to kick off June 10 at 10 a.m. PDT with Keynote address

The Keynote will be available to stream on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and the Apple YouTube channel. On-demand playback will be available after the conclusion of the stream.

When I click on New messages in mail, mail goes to full screen, how do I stop this happening.

Using Monterey. When I click on "New Message" in mail mail changes to a full screen, how do I stop this happening please.

iMac 27″, macOS 12.1

Further to my question, it seems that when I had mail open I caught some of the keys on the keyboard when I moved my hand above the key board and this caused mail to go to full screen, I really need to know how to get the app back to what it was. (If all that makes sense.


If you are in Full screen— the green pill button in the upper left of the application window will exit.


Use Mail full screen on Mac - Apple Support


ESC key will also exit Full Screen

or

from the drop down menu Mail>View>Exit Full screen

or

the key short cut fn F
