McDonald's app doesn't work after using private relay

Has anyone had problems wit McDonald’s app?? I have a yahoo email account but signed in with my IPhone with Relay. Now McDonald’s App is not letting me in?? Any help. Thanks

Thanks for the additional information, PEA12.


Let's take a look at some Settings to make sure that app shows using your Apple ID to sign in correctly. We'll be using this article for the steps:


Manage the apps that you use with Sign in with Apple


Go to Settings > [your name] > Password & Security > Apps Using Apple ID. Then find the McDonald's app to see what it shows for your login, etc. You can also remove your sign in and start fresh if needed.

Thanks for your post to Apple Support Communities. We see you have an issue with a specific third-party app after using iCloud Private Relay to sign in. We want to gather some additional details to help narrow down the issue.


When you aren't able to sign in to the McDonald's app, do you get a specific error message?

Are you able to use iCloud Private Relay with any other third-party app without issue?

Have you restarted your iPhone, then tried again?


You might also test the sign-in while connected to a different Wi-Fi network or using cellular data. We'd also recommend force closing that app, testing your sign-in. Lastly, you may need to uninstall then reinstall the app. Here are steps to help with that:


If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open

I have uninstalled/reinstalled McDonald’s app

App wants me to sign in

Type in my ICloud email, it thinks I’m trying to sign up for the same account

Message:pop up. use existing account

I also typed in the relay info and it gives me the same message use existing account


So I go back and type in my yahoo email account that McDonald’s has on file. Says I need to register new device even though I’ve been using this phone since Feb 2020.


I click on the link and it just tells me to register device directly from phone. Just keeps taking me in circles.


Yes other apps I have are working with the relay email


It has to be in IPhone, I tried on an Android phone and it worked. I don’t need 2 phones.


Any help cause I don’t know what to do.


I have also shut down the IPhone XR as well
