I have just updated my OS to Monterey and I can no longer open files with Pages and Numbers, probably also Keynote that contain Chinese letters. Before the update, everything worked fine. The file extension doesn't seem to matter. I can open without any problems files with docx and xlsx extensions that do not contain any Chinese signs.
Is there a way to fix this problem?

What do you mean by "can no longer open"? Are you getting some kind of error message? If so, what does it say? A screenshot might be helpful.
All I can say for now is that docx and xlsx are Microsoft formats, not Pages or Numbers.

Before the update, I was able to work on the files that I can no longer open with the same software that I used prior to the update. This is what I meant by "can no longer open". Upon attempting to open these files, Pages, Numbers and Keynote say that they cannot read this file.
Pages, Numbers and Keynote have no problem with opening files without Chinese characters and before the update to Monterey, they had no problem opening docx, xlsx files that contained Chinese characters.

I don't know what you're doing differently. I saved a file prior to updating my OS to Monterey, I tried to open it after the update and I couldn't do that.
Are you talking about files with Chinese in their file names, or files with Chinese in their content.
Is there an example of such a file which won't open for you that we could download from the internet?
Apparently the problem exceeded beyond the files with Chinese content.
Fortunately, thanks to the most recent update to Pages, Numbers and Keynote the problem seems to be fixed.
Try the free LibreOffice app and see if it will do it.
If so, probably a new iWork bug to report to Apple
Are these files that have been on your machine all along, or ones downloaded after upgrading?
Both old and new files. I was just about to continue working on one such file after updating, but Pages wouldn't open it any longer.
Chinese content. The file names are in English.
