mail issues with iOS 15.3

Installed 15.3 last night, this morning I found a legitimate email in junk folder so moved it to inbox. It disappeared, but only in Mail. I can see it if I log into my email account. Checked every folder in Mail, it’s gone.

Hello mizcue,

We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with missing an email in the Mail app, but seeing it when you sign in to the webmail provider area. If you haven't already, quit the Mail app and restart your iPhone to see if fresh connections help: Restart your iPhone

If not, and if the account is not a POP account, remove it and add it back to see if it starts syncing as expected. Those steps can be found under "Remove your email account and set it up again" here: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know how it goes.

Take care.

I did restart my phone, but the email still did not show up. It's not that I couldn't receive mail; the mail was incorrectly sent to the junk folder. I moved it to my inbox, and that's when it disappeared from Mail. I opened the email from the webmail inbox and forwarded it to myself, and it showed up in Mail on my phone. So it's a strange glitch but I do have it now in Mail on my phone.
