PD charging in 65W with M1 max macbook pro (2021)

Hi,

I ordered new macbook pro (M1 max, 14 inch) and plan to use an additional monitor which provides 65W PD charging by thunderbolt 3. I found that the power of charger of macbook pro for M1 max is 96W. I run machine learning frequently, and it sometimes uses most of the macbook's resources for a few days.

I am afraid of running out of battery if I use 65W charger by monitor in this situation. I plan to use macbook with an outside monitor so that I will close the internal monitor of macbook pro. What is the maximum power used by macbook pro with M1 max chip?

Thank you.

You want to be plugged into the mains especially using external monitor...the Mac will use the correct input.
