iOS 15.3 battery drain

Battery keeps draining so fast even when the phone is on standby.

Dunno what is this, but since the ios 15 was released, the battery of my iphone 11 (97% of battery health) was dumb.

The phone get really hot in some apps (like instagram while watching stories or reels videos) and the battery just drain like summer rains.

i’ve tried everything that they told me to do, but it doesn’t changed. I was hoping that IOS 15.3 will solve this problem, and nothing happened 🤡

Toon Up ~ 83% indicates an unhealthy battery and is expected after six years. Have the battery replaced and all will be well:

It's an iPhone 8 that has been running perfectly, with the battery lasting 2 or more days up UNTIL I did this Recent iOS 15.3 Update earlier this week to which the battery now Drains super Fast.

Infact I just took it off the Charger to check my emails and in less than 1 hour it's already down to 65% and losing charging strength almost every minute and with nothing else open or running.

But I don't have stuff Running anyways bcuz I don't use music apps and I don't use or play online games etc...

Also, when I went to unplug it a short while ago, it was very warm after being on the Charger for several hours.

This also never occurred prior to this iOS 15.3 Update!

Anyway, thanks for getting back to me and I look forward to seeing what you think...

Same for me. My iphone 11 battery gets drained very fast since the update. Last night, from 100% to 85% without any usage. I was sleeping and something is draining the battery. All background stuff is turned off. I used to charge my phone every 2-3 days, now I got to charge it 2 times a day. Apple doing this on purpose. Trying to kill our phones to get new ones.

I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and experiencing the same problem. My phone was working very well before, but ever since I upgraded to IOS 15.3.1, the battery drains very fast. In the past, I can use my phone for the whole day without charging, but now my battery can only last for half day. Apple used to placed a trick in IOS to force customers to buy new phones. I hope that kind of trick is not being played again here!

What, newer than iPhone 12?

This is a conspiracy theory of the most illogical type. They produce updates that can be installed successfully on 5 year old phones with zero problems.

Your difficulty with updates or settings or apps is personal to you and should not be confused with any Apple master plan you may have imagined. The remedies have been posted many times but I see you went straight for post number one and replied from there without reading.

Did you read my post carefully? It has nothing to do with the update process! It is about battery drain after the update. None of the posts provides a solution. I did read them. This is not a conspiracy theory, it has actually happened in the past in the older iPhones!! It happened to me with painful memory😡

Another fact is that the long process of applying an iOS update can strain a weak, aging battery and be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back". Users then often mistakenly blame the new iOS instead of the aging battery.

You previously wrote here: "...My original version SE will no longer last much over half a day without charging..." So in order to eliminate the possibility that your iPhone SE's battery was already weak and vulnerable to the strain of applying an iOS update...

Does your original version SE still have its original 6 year-old battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...
