iOS 15.3 battery drain

Battery keeps draining so fast even when the phone is on standby.

Dunno what is this, but since the ios 15 was released, the battery of my iphone 11 (97% of battery health) was dumb.

The phone get really hot in some apps (like instagram while watching stories or reels videos) and the battery just drain like summer rains.

i’ve tried everything that they told me to do, but it doesn’t changed. I was hoping that IOS 15.3 will solve this problem, and nothing happened 🤡

Hello,

These are the standard steps for short battery life. See if anything helps:

1) Have you tried a restart?  If not, do it now.

2) Go to Settings > Battery > BATTERY USAGE BY APP to see the apps that are consuming your battery.

3) Check “Battery Health” in the link:

iPhone Battery and Performance

4) If all else fails, consider a battery replacement:

Good luck.

Another user here with two iPhone SEs with battery life killed by 15.3 and not improved by 15.4. My original version SE will no longer last much over half a day without charging, lucky it's a backup phone. There's no point talking about what apps are draining or how old the phones are or how battery health is, as both phones were fine until the day 15.3 installed. Very poor show from Apple.

Thanks but I'm too busy working full-time as a senior software engineer to spend all day on forums.

Your battery suggestion ignores the fact that the battery drain issue appeared with the installation of iOS 15.3. So prior to installation of 15.3 longer battery life, immediately after installation of 15.3 shorter battery life. It doesn't take too much deduction to identify the iOS 15.3 update as the cause.

It may well be that my old SE's battery was damaged by the upgrade (not that that is an acceptable thing) but my newer SE is also displaying greater battery usage.

It doesn't matter how much anyone tries to talk the issue away - 15.3 and 15.4 releases of iOS have resulted in greater power consumption and faster battery draining, no question.
