Stop CarPlay Auto Navigation

How do you stop CarPlay from navigating you Home automatically? When I get in my vehicle, even before I’m out of my neighborhood, CarPlay is suggesting a map back home. This happens every time I drive and I need to go into the Map and close out the route. This is a terrible feature.

Hi, three_30_three.

We understand that Maps automatically starts a navigation Home when you enter your vehicle and connect to CarPlay, and may be able to offer some assistance.

Is this only happening when you're away from home? If it is, your Maps app may be using Significant Locations to automatically navigate you back to the location where you most frequently visit (Home). Try either disabling or clearing Significant Locations at Settings > Privacy > System, and let us know if it resolves the issue for you.
