How come my Apple Watch 6 doesn’t get my heart rate when swimming? I wear the watch in the correct orientation and keep it snug on the correct wrist and facing in the correct direction? I had a heart valve replacement, last summer and need to keep it under control.

Apple Watch Series 6 does measure heart rate during Pool Swim and Open Water Swim workouts recorded via the Workout app, but water may affect the sensor's performance. Apple Watch will still track calories using the built-in accelerometer.
