Ringer volume iPhone vs. AirPods.

With all the care Apple takes to provide hearing protections and enhancements they managed to overlook one fundamental tool: the ability to set different ringer volumes for when you are wearing AirPods.

What are you thinking Apple? That I need the ringer volume on my AirPods turned to the highest setting so that I have my eardrums blasted out of existence? I turn up my volume when not using AirPods so I can hear on my phone ringer notifications and incoming phone calls when in noisy environments. Wearing EarPods should automatically turn down the ringer volume or at the very least allow it in settings without affecting iPhone ringer volume.
