Siri Remote constantly firing IR

My Siri Remote is firing IR signal constantly, messing the TV volume control, as well as my Yamaha amplifier. I tried recharge, reset, nothing happens. Still firing the IR, non stop. Of course, I could cover it with a sticker (maybe Apple can issue a special edition laser cut sticker to cover the IR led). I attach a photo as proof of malfunction. I would be grateful for any ideas how to fix this.

thank you

I wanted to share with the community how I got this fixed. As the remote was messing up ally other devices, due to constantly emitting IR signal, I decided to leave it to discharge. I just placed it in a metal box, in another room. Next day I wanted to check the battery level and just realized that it stopped emitting IR, although battery was at still 80%. Currently works perfectly normal.

So, this may be another fix for this issue, apart from waiting to discharge (btw Apple does not know how to fix this, I spent 40 min chatting with Apple just to be asked to bring the product for repair at the place of purchase, which is in another country, “only” 3 hour flying from where I actually live).

I hope it helps.
