My iPhone 8 keeps shutting down on a full battery unless it’s plugged into the charger. When it’s unplugged it’ll last all of 10 minutes before turning off.
it won’t turn back on either unless I plug it in. And at some points it will say that it’s got a low battery when I turn it back on even though it was fully charged 5 minutes ago. I’ve been told by a phone repair shop that it needs a new battery but I’m unsure if that’s the case?

i advice you to update your iPhone to the lasts update version But if you don't solve your problem, you'll have to factory reset. You can do it by going to settings >General >transfer or reset>erase all contact and settings or you can do it through your computer using iTunes through the steps in the following link:

Hi, have tried that but might try it again.
And no I haven’t replaced the battery before while I’ve owned it, though it could have been replaced before I bought it. And no, no message telling me to replace it.
