Auto-correct and auto-capitalize not working in Apple Notes

I use Apple's Notes app on my Mac regularly. Its auto-correct and auto-capitalize features are not working for me since 2-3 months. Don't know why and how it happened. All the relevant settings are placed in the System Preferences → Keyboard → Text. See the screenshot.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions to solve this. Writing is a bit tough without these features.

I run macOS Monterey 12.2.

In the Notes > Edit menu > Spelling and Grammar > Show Spelling and Grammar panel, is the language set to Automatic by Language, or your explicit language? Ensure that it is set to your specific language if it is not. Check the adjacent grammar box too.

Then, also select in the Edit menu > Spelling and Grammar > Check Grammar with Spelling, and Correct Spelling Automatically.

The ability of an application to automatically apply those changes shown on the posted Keyboard > Text panel must be programmed into the application so it can detect them. By now, Notes should have that capability.

The application is free or paid from added features.

Run the application with Full Disc Access ( Security & Privacy - Full Disc Access ).

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.
