Incorrect Album Art on my iPhone 13

The album artwork for several albums is mixed up. The artwork is correct in iTunes, but I just did a sync to my phone and now things are messed up. Resyncing and restarting did not fix the problem.

I deleted the Music app from my iphone 13, and deleted all of the music. Then deleted all of the backup files that i have stored on my iMac, and resynced the phone to find..... a whole load of the album art remains messed up, This is not a minor issue as I really use the album art to select music when I am using car-play, as it offers a much quicker recognition of the album than having to search by name. Now, there is added jeopardy when selecting music in the car as I HAVE To read the album title to be sure of what I'm going to get. From a cursory review it would seem that all music I have bought form the itunes store is fine, but anything I have synced from my CD collection over the years is now corrupted. By the way, on the iMac, the album art is correct - it's only an issue on the iphone.

Come on Apple - sort this out - you should be embarrassed that such a basic feature has been an issue for your customers for so long. We don't all want to only use streaming services for our music - some of us have collections which we would like to keep.

Did you mean to direct this question to me, jyfgcviyrcfuyrf ?

I SYNC whole playlists.

I have owned an iPhone or iPod since 2009 in various iterations. As a power user, I would frequently drag and drop music files off of, and ONTO my phone. Apple Support says that I was doing it all wrong. While I NEVER had a problem with the WRONG artwork until I purchased an iPhone 13, I can report that SYNCING the device (instead of dragging and dropping) does resolve my *wrong artwork* issue. I hope that this is helpful to anyone reading this. Also? In iTunes, I always back up directly to a Mac, so there's always a recent copy of said phone with me, rather than in the cloud. I know I know. Its called "MUSIC" now -- -NOT iTunes. I will start to wrap my head around that! Thanks for reading.

I have tried all suggestions to fix this (right click on album artwork in itunes and resynch, delete music and app on the phone and reintall, delete cache, check which OS you are running etc etc). Even worse, in my case some of the CD's I ripped to iTunes don't copy and some claim they cannot be played because I am in the wrong region. Let's now talk facts. Everything worked fine on my iPhoneX. I have two iPod toches, which also work fine. So out of sheer frustration I purchased an iPad today and everything synched. No partial sync, no regional issues, album artwork all nicely aligned. But the less-then-useless iPhone 13 still has mixed up artwork, does not synch all songs and claims for some I am in the wrong region for some songs. The only good news is I can confirm there is no issue with my PC, or my iTunes Cache, or my OS version or anyother excuse that Apple seem to come up with because it is working ABSOLUTELY FINE WITH ALL OTHER DEVICES. The issue is therefore the iPhone 13 and it is clearly not fit for purpose. Thank you Apple for an absolutely distaster of a product. I have other words I would like to use to descrbe it but I will keep those to myself.

This is really annoying. I just had another issue where sync just didn't recognise the music on my phone anymore, and refused to sync as it determined I did not have enough space to add the already added music.

I could not remove the music via sync either, even though it clearly labelled it as media.

I went in to settings on my iPhone and just deleted the data for music from there, then sync finally accepted my music was gone and resynched it.

I have near 100GB of music, so this took like 12 hours?

And now all my album artwork is completely messed up, there's no rhyme or reason to it, all the tracks of an album have the same artwork, just from completely different albums.

I don't want to have to try again by deleting the app and then wait another 12 hours to find out it it worked or not
