The Issue AirDrop is as old as the iPad … seems to date back 2015 !!!

Apple should direct all AirDrop received file in a specific folder.

as Windows and Linux does.

then user may / can move the file to appropriate folder

In Feb 2022 with my iPad Pro 11” iOS 15.3 I am having same issue.

I sent a .PDF file from My iPhone to my iPad , all status ok but can’t see the file on my iPad.

Problem in AirDrop I am not able to locate a pdf file transferred from Macbook Air to iPad Pro via AirDrop. Earlier when I used to transfer pdf, there was a prompt for desired location of keeping the file. I have also tried transferring from Mac to iPhone. There was a prompt of the location but it quickly vanished. Now I am not able to locate the file on my iphone. It only happens with PDF files.

Can't send PDF through airdrop I cannot find pdf files that I sent to my iPad via Airdrop. There wasn't any prompt or anything on the iPad when the file is, supposedly, sent. There's nothing wrong with device discoverability as sending photos and videos worked fine and can be found in the photos app.

I can't find pdf files sent via airdrop on my ipad I recently started sending multiple pdf files from my Macbook to my iPad. I got a prompt at first asking where to save the files but before I could tap a response the prompt vanished and my Macbook showed the files had been sent. The files were sent from the finder app on my Macbook. I looked at every possible location but I can't find these pdf files or the ones I sent afterward. I searched in files, Books, my WPS app, apple notes, goodnotes etc. none of the files come up in search. But when I send the files from my Mac, it still sends but it's nowhere to be seen. Please help.
