HDMI issue

I connected my MacBook pro to HDMI port. I can only see mac's wallpaper on Tv and not the rest of the content. Can you please advise on how to fix it?

It is in extended display mode. Drag a window to the external display and it will show on the display.

HDMI to TV issues I purchased a HDMI adapter for my MacBook Air and every time I try to use it, nothing shows up on the TV screen except my wallpaper. This at least tells me the adapter works, but it seems like there's something in my setting preventing my browser from showing up. I have the updated Mac OS 13.0.1 downloaded.
