Issue - Favourties removed from sidebar

Why the Favourties removed at first place. We take so much time to configure our system and then Mac Removed all the personalisations.

Please confirm on why/how the Favourties removed at first place.

If you move your mouse to the right side of the column ...

does it reveal the hidden carrot, and spin it open to reveal the Favorites list (?)

I am unclear why checking the box in Finder >Preferences>Sidebar does not repopulate the side bar favorites..(?)

Can you verify from the > drop down menu you are logged into th correct account...?
