LogmeinClient app will NOT DELETE

Many years ago I downloaded this app because a friend said it was the "new skype". It was not, and I do not use it. I have tried everything to delete this app. I even downloaded Cleanmymac to delete it but it will not delete. It is also all in Spanish and i do not speak Spanish. It has an icon on the top right bar too like the area where the time and date are. That wont delete either. The pop up screen on my computer and when I press the X or try to force quit it still stays. I need to be able to use an app called lockdown browser for taking exams but Lockdown doesn't allow for other apps to be open and the Logmein app is always open because it will not close. Please help me figure out how to get rid of it forever and completely.

At this point, I would suggest three things:

  1. Completely remove CleanMyMac from your computer. These apps tend to cause more issues than resolves them ... and, in this case as you saw, it didn't work.
  2. Check with the LogMeIn support site to check to see the proper method they recommend on fully removing their app from a Mac.
  3. Run an EtreCheck report. Optionally post the report results here if you need assistance with interpreting its results. EtreCheck is a diagnostics app, that among other things, can help identify "orphan" app components. It was developed by a valued forum member and greatly aids in troubleshooting Mac issues.

Hey there! Agreed with previous statements.

Likewise, in that window in the screen shot:

(System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility), right click on Logmein > click “Show In Finder” and delete any file there. (You can them remove it in Accessibility by highlighting it the clicking on the “-“ sign on the bottom.

This may prevent that particular prompt, but the app is installed in other key locations.

This program probably has files installed everywhere on your computer, so definitely following their official uninstallation instructions would be best. Otherwise you can manually delete its data if you know where to look.

There are other typical locations I check for these things, but let me know if you have troubles finding their uninstaller, etc.
