Facetime choppy on fast wifi.

Working with iPhone 12s running 15.2.1 Using a TP-Link AC1750 with download routinely in the 85 mbps to 120 mbps range. Upload between 9 mbps and 11 mbps. Ping around 11 ms.

It's been choppy for years and usually we turn off wifi on the phones to just use data. Any guesses why? Is it the upload speed? Nothing we can do about that since it's throttled by ISP. Any other suggestions?

If you only have that slow of an upload, then its 100% the internet. Only the ISP can help you with that.

There is no iPhone 12s. What iPhone are you really using?

it’s likely the internet then. If it works fine on data, then it’s for sure the wifi.

I meant the plural. We each have an iPhone 12 running 15.2.1

I feel convinced it's the wifi but am wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and has advice.
