The Downloads folder
On my old imac the Dowloads folder would open automatically when i would dowload something, either via Airdrop or from a website, now i have to right click to open the folder… why Apple why?

Possibly because you have Safari set NOT to open "safe" files after downloading.
Safari Preferences > General - and see the box at the foot of the panel.
"Safe files include movies, pictures, sounds, PDF and text documents. and archives".
