itunes ask my password for restoring iphone - password never set by me

Hi, I try to restore a new iphone from a backup made with iTunes 6 months ago. iTunes asks me a password however I've never set it. (I've tried to do it with all possibilities but doesn't work. I really need this restore.) What is the solution? What is the official workflow to do it? Thanks for your answers.
