I bought an applecare+ subscription that doesn't exist

Hi Apple Community!

I hope you can help we with this problem since Apple Support in doesn't seemed to be able to.

I bought a pair of Air Pods while I was traveling in Hong Kong. I went in to an Apple Store on Festival Walk i Hong Kong and bought Apple Care+.

I got a receipt and thought they were covered.

Flashforward to today. I'm back in Sweden and my local Apple Store here says that I don't have an Applecare+ and needed to contact Apple Support to get it fixed.

The agent on Apple Support told me that since Apple in the EU doesn't cooperate with Apple in Asia he can't help me with my issue.

So now I have payed for a applecare+ that doesn't exist and my Airpods is to old to be able to buy a new applecare+.

Sorry for the long post but what should I do?

Hi,

Sorry to hear you are having some issues with AppleCare+.

I am not sure what type of monthly agreement you initially purchased, as monthly AppleCare+ is not available for AirPods.

AirPods, as well as Beats products, are only eligible for an AppleCare+ upfront agreement.

This is a one-time payment for two years of contract coverage.

AirPods are also not eligible to extend to monthly after the initial PUF agreement ends.

If you purchased an agreement from an ARS, contact Apple Support with your receipt number. It should start with an #R; also have available any other relevant proof of purchase documentation to reference.

Hope this helps.
