Hi, My macbook pro won't play downloaded moves through the Apple TV app. They work fine on my other devices. I've updated the software but still happening. Launches a black screen momentarily at best, otherwise just gives me the spinning rainbow wheel. Any ideas?

I had to authorize the TV app separately even though I had already authorized the Music app. Once I authorized all was well and I could play the downloaded content.
You would think Apple could throw up a dialog box saying, "authorize this device to play content" or something like that, but they just leave us wondering with a spinner.

Same exact problem. Has anyone had any resolution with this? I downloaded movies for a long plane ride and neither worked. Super frustrating!
Yes I have tried everything under the sun and it’s still a problem. Idk if apple even notices at this point.

I've messed around with different things. Reauthorizing the computer, and giving full disk access to the TV.app. I still can't play a movie that I've rented or purchased.
