Troubleshooting Mac Bluetooth:
A. Syncing Button:
Hold down the button on the bottom of your mouse to begin the syncing process.
B. Enable Bluetooth:
Be certain that Bluetooth is enabled on your Mac.
C. Restart your Mac:
See what happens when you restart your Mac.
D. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:
Sometimes changes are made to the system and then settings (i.e. for Wi-Fi) become corrupted, in the meanwhile. So, reset both on your Mac. See where it goes from there. It’s worth a go.
E. Try Safe Mode:
In Safe Mode, login items do not run, and corrupt system files(i.e. caches) are intentionally reset as a way to fix issues

"I tried all of the recommended solutions twice. None worked. How can I get Apple to respond with a 'real' solution to the issue where the bluetooth Magic Keyboard will connect to my MacBook Pro?: I also tried the Terminal with pkill bluetoothhd. This didn't work either."

Troubleshooting Mac Bluetooth:
Thank you for the following reply.
Two Other Thoughts:
Reset the Bluetooth Module:
Apple did away with the "Reset the Bluetooth Module" feature in Monterey. So, recommend that they bring this back, as I mentioned in my second reply of my User Tip: Use "Reset the Bluetooth module" to Fix Constant Bluetooth Disconnections - User Tip. It is a User Tip I authored prior to Monterey, and is a method that had fixed this issue for many (and is a useful method for troubleshooting Bluetooth for those with pre-Monterey installs.
Contact Apple Support:
Note that these are just user-to-user forums. Apple wont respond on these forums, as they barely read these forums on their own time. So, contact Apple Support, if you want to get a "real" solution, as you call it.
Apple Contact Us Info:
Why the Wait:
Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
