2021 MacBook Pro not showing up in Finder Locations sidebar after macOS 12.2.1

After putting on Monterey 12.2.1, my 2021 MacBook Pro isn't showing up under Locations in the Finder sidebar.

This would indicate to me that the MBP isn't issuing a Bonjour invitation.

I know I can get to file shares via an smb: or afp: sharing request - does anyone know the prefix you'd use in the Connect to Server dialog to initiate a screen sharing session?

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or does anyone have a suggestion about how to fix the missing MBP in my Finder sidebar?

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Rebooted the MacBook Pro in Safe Mode then back in normal mode - Verne-MBP16 didn't appear in the 2020 iMac's sidebar.

Rebooted the iMac and the Verne-MBP16 still doesn't appear. A 2017 iMac running 12.2.1 also doesn't see the MacBook Pro in the sidebar.

Submitted a report via Feedback Assistant.

Has anyone else seen this yet, or does anyone else have a suggestion on how to fix the problem?

I am running Murus Pro, but turning off PF on the MacBook Pro doesn't cause it to appear in the sidebars of either of the iMacs. With PF running, remote login inbounds are allowed from the local network, and both iMacs can see each other, but neither can see the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro sees neither of the iMacs. All machines are running on a Wifi 6 mesh network, and the 2020 iMac and the MacBook Pro are connected via ethernet to the same satellite. The 2017 iMac is on Wifi on another satellite, but the entire network is logically one subnet whether on Wifi or Ethernet (192.168.1.0/24).

I am running IPv4 on all machines with IPv6 in Link-local only mode.
