Hi there,
I listen to Apple Music on my MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019), macOS 12.1.
It's pretty often that when I play thru a playlist, after playing the last one without, the next one on the list will play, but there's no sound—the progress bar moves, lyrics runs, just no sound. I have to click the << button to start from the beginning of the “silent song” to make it work.

Are you using the built-in speaker when you experience the issue?

Thanks for the reply.
It's not the “last” song that doesn't have sound. For example, if a playlist/album has music A, B, C, D, E... A & B plays fine, when C starts to play, it plays according to the progress bar, but there's no sound. If I click the << button to play it from beginning again, there the sound comes.
I was using the 3.5 mm earphone jack.
I don't have another Apple Music account to test with. I'll test with Safe Mode later.
This is a streaming audio issue, not a volume level issue, where the audio from the stream totally drops out. Please carefully read the original post before you post an unhelpful and confusing reply.

I don't quote the entire post.
Check the volume bar. It may have automatically muted or decreased?
When this happens to me, it has nothing to do with the volume bar, because when I select another song, it plays correctly, other than the loud audio glitch/pop that often occurs. As I’ve said, this is a streaming issue not an app volume setting issue.

Music is and app that has its own volume setting. So, increase the volume on the app itself.
