Music with Monterey is wonky

Monterey and Music are having issues. Mainly if I modify an existing playlist (say I drag some songs from one playlist to another) Music will, after a couple of minutes, decide that it doesn't want those songs in that playlist so it removes them. I've gone so far as to move songs to a playlist then delete the playlist they were originally in only for Music to not only remove them once again but it recreates their original playlist.

On top of that I use iTunes Match and making changes to a Mac Music playlist no longer automatically updates to other devices. I can manually update the library and it still won't work. Well, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't and the times when it doesn't are when I need it to work the most.

I've always been wary of major OS upgrades because Music/iTunes always gets screwy and I should have learned that lesson by now. Am I alone in these problems?

Hi Anthony Adams,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. We understand you're experiencing an issue when trying to move songs into a new playlists. We're happy to share some information to help.

We'd like to have you test if this continues when using the control-click feature to add songs to a playlist. See more on that here: Create, edit, and delete playlists in Music on Mac

If the same behavior continues when using those steps, reach out here: Get Support

Thanks
