How do I connect to Spotify to add shazams to a playlist automatically - Android, Shazam app
I use the Shazam app on my Android LG K51 phone, which now has been reduced to being a portable stereo system with WiFi connectivity.
I use the TuneIn app and the Spotify app on the phone, with Premium accounts for each service. If, say, I am listening to a radio broadcast on TuneIn, I can Shazam the music being played and add it to my library. On the library page is a settings wheel on the top left, and when I go there, I can connect to Spotify.
So far, I get a "Loading..." wheel turning and turning. I am supposed to be able to go to Spotify and automatically Shazam will add music to a playlist. To accomplish this action, what must I do to get past the forever-loading page?
I recently uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app to work around an offline condition, which I have since learned from Support is a setting under "Playback." It apparently unknowingly got set to "Offline." The point of telling you this is that after I uninstalled the app, cleared the memory of junk files, and reinstalled the Spotify app, it found my Premium account in the Play Store and in time came up ready for use, already signed in.
I thought Shazam might find that info in Google Play. I have not been prompted by Shazam to log into the Spotify account. I thought that was to come when I connected to Spotify from the Settings page.
I am logged in on Shazam, for I see the Log Out item at the bottom. I assume it is logged into Google Play.
Please walk me through what I need to do to complete the connection to Spotify. Thank you.
I had to select an iPhone. The device I am using is not listed: Android 10 Phone
I had to select Apple Music on Android, the closest thing to my topic: Shazam on Android.
