Mail slow to load

Ever since I updated to 15.1, I am now on 15.3.1, my mail has been slow to load. If I switch between Safari and Mail, it takes a while for my mail to load. Sometimes, it is so slow that it closes the mail app. If I want to send a page from Safari to my mail, I cannot. I have to copy and paste and open up a new email to send it.

I saw that somebody said to turn off protect mail activity. I tried this and it did not solve the problem.

It is not a network issue. I have changed networks (changed locations) and I’m still having the issue.

I have restarted my iPad mini (5th generation.) This does not work.

This issue happens on four Gmail accounts and my AOL..

Hello Cdmarlowe1,

From your post it appears you are having an issue with slow mail.

Restarting and trying a different network are good troubleshooting steps. We suggest trying to further isolate what is causing this.

Is this issue only happening when you switch between Safari and Mail, or does it happen if you just open the Mail app by itself?

We recommend checking out the steps in this link to see if anything helps: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Let us know what you find.

Cheers.

I have done all the steps except removing my email account because it is happening across all of my email accounts. It happens both when I switch between Safari and the mail app and when I open the mail app by itself. I have spoken to other users of iPhones and iPads and they are having the same issue. I know this is not an isolated incident. They have been having issues since they updated, just as I have been.
