legacy sound modules with Logic Pro: Korg O5R/W and Yamaha TG 100

I am extremely frustrated with myself, because I know I am missing something simple and fundamental. I am transitioning from Reaper to Logic Pro. I am using Logic Pro on my MacBook Pro with OS version 12.1, Monterey,  with a Roland UM-ONE MK interface and a Korg O5R/W sound module connected via midi out.  The Roland interface drivers are installed, and the Midi Studio Setup shows both the Roland interface and the  Korg sound module as working and connected when I test them in Midi Studio. All of my Midi files play perfectly using Reaper with this set up. When I open the same midi files in Logic Pro, neither the light on the Korg sound module nor the light on the Roland interface blinks to show that data is being transferred. And, of course, the Korg sound module is silent. Can anyone help me identify what I am missing?
