Hi,
My earpods’ controls have just stopped responding.
I can hear through the earpod, and the mic also works.
However, the volume up and down buttons and the middle button don’t work. Iphone’s own sound contols do work.
Iphone 8 - latest IOS.
I would appreciate any help.

You are referring to the wired headphones, correct?
If so, check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:
If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Otherwise, accessories generally have a one-year warranty against manufacturing defects. It might be easier to just get another pair. They are readily available at a low cost.

Yes, it’s the wired one.
I tried cleaning the port and everything, but it didn’t solve it.
I tried my wife’s earpods on my phone, and they work flawlessly. Therefore, my conclusion is that my earpods are broken.
I will still use them as long as sound goes through them, but a replacement will be needed in the future.
