No problem. Be sure to keep your laptop in a well ventilated space while using the external monitor. Just thought I'd mention that as some people tend to tuck their laptop out of the way under a pile of papers or books, etc when the lid is shut - thus blocking the vents. Since it is actively running and not sleeping, it still needs the same ventilation space you'd automatically give it when working directly on it in front of you.
