iFit is not writing to the Health app

Hello!

Back in September 2021, iFit became a connected App to Apple Health. And it worked flawlessly. All of a sudden, in the last week and a half, this isn't working.

Apple Health is still writing to iFit, but iFit is no longer writing to Apple Health.

I have been in touch with iFit and yes, I've done it all! Deleted the iFit app, added it back, made sure it's showing as a source of data for Apple Health, but still no luck. So now I'm curious if it's an Apple Health thing.

I count on my iFit workouts to close my rings each day. Help!

And while we're at it... any idea why an Indoor run and what my treadmill tells me I've run never match?

I have had this problem for the last week or so. Just stopped working. Multiple support tickets with ifit. Tried all the solutions here, resetting app data, remove and reinstall. Very frustrating.

I just found a work around. I am using Strava as a bridge. Add Strava as a connected app in ifit (and Strava connected with Apple Health) and boom rings closed! Your workouts go from ifit -> Strava -> Health -> Fitness. It can take a couple minutes for it all to update, but has worked well for me for both spin bike and treadmill

Thank you for sharing! I unpaired and repaired my watch today and deleted the ifit and reinstalled. What I did find was interesting, was after I did that my activity was feeding to ifit but not vice versa. I miss it reporting! I usually run a workout on my watch while I do my treadmill workouts, but yesterday forgot and nothing got recorded. So frustrating! Hopefully we see a fix soon!

1. I am sorry I miss wrote that my iPad wrote to apple health. I understand that it doesn’t do this directly and that it goes through the phone and that writes to health.

2: Now you know someone who uses their phone. It is small but what does it matter if I use it?

I was just trying to let everyone know a way I found around the issue and being able to use your ifit with your iPad and having these workouts contribute to closing rings.

I understand how it works. Thanks for your input.

iFit is now stating that (we) I have past workouts on (our) my calendar and that is the problem--except I do not have any past workouts on my calendar. That's all they have managed to offer since the app update. On a related note, specific to the iPad, has anyone else noticed the iFit Calendar is completely broken? iPad only, not phone or web browser, it will not load. I've tried a couple different Wifi's, cellular, no luck.

From lot's of troubleshooting in this adventure I believe that the iFit app tends to over estimated calories burned, based on my observations. This became apparent when I joined an Apple workout tracking group and over a month I could see I was burning more calories per minute--especially indoor biking--and I knew I wasn't working hard enough. 650 calories for a 45 minute bike ride? (Rivs/Suisse 2 IIRC) I compared iFit's tracker to using Apple Fitness and they tended to disagree so I stopped manually tracking iFit into Apple Health (because of the bug) and only track with Apple Fitness on my watch. I do wish this integration worked but where else would I see a salt mine mall in Romania (Peel), run Switzerland (Rivs), and row away from Crocodiles (Steve-o)? :)
