Why won’t my phone alert when in sleep mode?

When my phone is asleep, it will not alert to text message. When it’s awake, it works fine. I have rebooted, turned volume up all the way, checked notification settings, mute is not on…nothing works. Any help would be most appreciated!

Settings > Focus > Sleep

You can change settings there for people or apps. Otherwise, when you're in the sleep focus, your phone will not notify you.

Not sure what you mean by "all are turned off." If your device is entering the Sleep focus, the focus is enabled and whatever apps and people are/are not allowed will notify. Otherwise, all activity is off during sleep (which makes sense as you're asleep).

You can enable whatever app you wish to bypass sleep focus in Settings > Focus, or change your sleep schedule and other options.
