Can't reset iCloud password on my friend account

Hello guys,

I have a friend who have iPhone 7 with logged iCloud account but he want to reset the phone. The problem is that they don't remember his password. I tried twice to reset password from my iphone 13 with Apple Support App --> reset another account password but twice I get a message that I must wait for a 12 days and after this days was gone I didn't understand how exaktly to reset the password.


Can you help me.

Okay, thanks for your reply after the 12-day period expires, this is what you should do to reset the password:

If you can't change or reset your password

If you tried the previous steps and were unable to change or reset your password, try these steps instead. 

1 Go to https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid.

2 Enter your Apple ID. If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support

3 Select the option to reset your password, then choose Continue.

4 Choose to answer your security questions, get an email, or enter your Two-step verification for Apple ID - Apple Support Learn what to do https://support.apple.com/kb/ht201455. 

5 Follow the onscreen steps to reset your password. 

After you reset your password, you'll be asked to sign in again with your new password. You also might need to What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support

  2. Enter your Apple ID. Did you forget your Apple ID?
  3. Select the option to reset your password, then choose Continue.
  4. Choose to answer your security questions, get an email, or enter your Recovery Key.* Learn what to do if you don't receive your verification or reset email
  5. Follow the onscreen steps to reset your password. 

After you reset your password, you'll be asked to sign in again with your new password. You also might need to update your password in Settings on your devices.

* If you permanently lost your Recovery Key or access to your trusted device, you can't change your password.

After I open iforgot.apple.com I fill the AppleID and phone number for verification and then this screen show up.



You will be able to reset your password in 12 days.

Have more information to verify your identity? Verify your phone number and email address to reset your password immediately. Verify Now ---> HERE

When it’s time to reset your password, we will send instructions to •••••••65. Apple Support can’t help you shorten the wait time.

I click HERE and I fill the verification codes from phone and email and this was shown:

And this is happened for second time :-(

p.s. Sorry but I can't attach screenshots because of error. I try *.png and *.jpg but didn't work.
