BLUETOOTH IPHONE & IMAC

Amazing bit of trivia: Although the iPhone and iMac or MacBook both appear under bluetooth settings on both devices. (Even getting a pair number on initial attempt)... The iPhone does not pair with iMac. Showing not connected. Thus Apple should fix this minor issue or at least tell their customer support that the two devices do not pair... Apparently Apple stopped this way back in 2017 but never changed it or fixed it so that pairing doesn't exist... (really even 10 support people didn't know this minor fact) after spending countless hours trying to figure it out.

I don't remember that they would pair even long before 2017.

An iPhone will not pair via Bluetooth to a computer (Mac or Windows) or an iPad except for personal hotspot and then only if your cellular plan supports it. If you are attempting to use Handoff/Continuity or AirDrop, that does involve Bluetooth but the devices are NOT paired; Bluetooth just needs to be on and the devices in range of each other.
