File sharing to my 2021 iMac 24 has suddenly stopped working.
It is fully visible on my other two devices on the network but they can not connect to it.
It is able to connect to my other two devices just fine (one is via wifi and the other is via ethernet switch).
I have enabled and disabled File sharing.
Restarted all devices to no avail and ran Disk Utility.
Help please

Restart both in Safe Mode and verify both are on the same network.
Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your 24" Mac?
None of the usual subject show up, I'd recommend giving AppleCare a phone call.

Currently, the problem iMac24 in question can both see and access my other desktop mac (via ethernet switch) and my mac laptop ( via wifii)
But although these other two computers can "see" the iMac also, on the network (the iMac24 shows up in the "Network" Finder sidebars) ... they can not log in to it.
The ethernet desktop mac reports error, unable to read the iMac data ... and the wifi laptop just spins it's wheels forever trying to connect.
I will report back after trying Safe Mode.

Ok well I tired Safe Mode and yes all are on appropriate Network (both wifi and lan ethernet switch). No change at all on either other macs trying to connect. Can see in Finder sidebar on network and comes and goes with disabling Fie Sharing on iMac24 with both of them. So def the issue is with the iMac24 file system (checked with ** and is OK).
Of note as prev stated, I can connect to the other macs just fine with the iMac 24 ... just can't do opposite.
I am at a loss!
Maybe I should try a reinstall of OS????
Hi guys.
Small update ... for some unknown reason (I haven't done a thing except run Etrecheck) my laptop can suddenly connect to iMac via wifi. I have been rechecking this several times a day fruitlessly.
However the desktop (ethernet) mac still can not connect to iMac. I didn't mention this before (sorry) but it shows an error code -36 when attempting to connect via direct input of the afp address.
