Reset iPad to factory settings

My iPad needs to be reset because of unknown "other" and "media" memory taking up too much space. I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone all connected to the same iCloud account so my photos should not be affected or deleted by the reset. Is that correct? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have a backup of your photos on your computer before erasing the iPad.
