Pixelated fonts in external monitor with MacBook PRO 13 M1

Hi,

I recently acquired a Mac Book PRO 13 M1 and connected to an external monitor, LG Ultra-wide 29 inches. In this monitor all fonts are pixelated in the default monitor resolution 2560x1080.

The monitor is connected by an usbc to HDMI cable.

Here are an example:

Is there any solution to improve the fonts rendering?

Thanks a lot, regards.

Hi bailier,

Thanks a lot for the reply. I tried to change the usbc adapter and another HDMI 2.1 cable but the problem persists. It seems like the resolution of the external display, 2560x1080 21:9, is not supported or there is a problem with a non HiDPI resolution.

I tried some workarounds like a virtual 4k display that mirrors the video to the external display but does not work.

Could you help me to try to solve this?

Thanks a lot, regards,

Antonio J.
