Why can't I turn on my wi-fi

My wi-fi button is grayed out on my phone. My phone is a iPhone 12. Please help.

This Wi-Fi prohibited icon isn’t one that Apple documents.


Assuming no profiles are loaded and no screen time usage, and assuming an iPhone restart doesn’t clear this, then the Wi-Fi hardware in this iPhone has probably failed.


If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support


If that doesn’t resolve this, use the Get Support link in the upper right of this webpage, and discuss this with Apple.
