Cannot Open "Book title" It is formatted incorrectly, or is not a format that Apple Books can open.

Taking an original document (.doc, .pdf, .epub) and converting to .epub results in this error message.

Tested with http://libgen.rs in .epub and other formats, converted to .epub. Same result.

Documents appear fine in calibre. Other than rolling back OS to pre-Monterey, which is a PITA, has anyone cracked a solution?

Purchased Books open on iPad but not on MacBook Pro All the books I have purchased I have previously been able to read on my iPad, iPhone and MacBook Pro. Now, when launched on my MacBook Pro (Early 2015, Monterey 12.4) all these books give the following error: "Cannot Open “(Title}" "It is formatted incorrectly, or is not a format that Apple Books can open." Strangely, some purchased books which I have read are tagged "New" and these will open. All others tagged "Finished" or a percentage read will not open. OS Monterey: cannot open docx and xlsx files with Chinese letters I have just updated my OS to Monterey and I can no longer open files with Pages and Numbers, probably also Keynote that contain Chinese letters. Before the update, everything worked fine. The file extension doesn't seem to matter. I can open without any problems files with docx and xlsx extensions that do not contain any Chinese signs. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Apple Books on Catalina is not opening any books, not even my own PDFs and ePubs Apple Books is not opening any books, not even the ones I bought on the Bookstore or my own PDFs and ePubs that I made. Since I updated my 2015 15 inch Mac Book Pro laptop to MacOS Catalina two days ago, I cannot open any books in Apple Books. When I attempt to open any books in Apple Books, I get the following error: "The operation couldn’t be completed. (BKAgentServiceErrorDomain error 8.)" I am hopeful someone can help me fix this issue.
