espn won't mirror from iphone to tv

the only way espn+ is offered is streaming and morroring works from laptop, just not iphone. It is definitely espn specific, but I can't find a way to get support from them. I'm using the base mirror function in iPhone
it works from my laptop, just not the phone. And the phone will mirror to my laptop but not the tv.
If you are trying to use a Google casting feature it isn't going to work from an iPhone. A solution to this issue could be to use an app that allows you to Chromecast to your TV from your iPhone. Hope this helps!
