We're glad you thought to ask Apple Support Communities about the issue you're having with not seeing video when using AirPlay between your iPhone and your TV. These steps should help: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device
If not, is this only happening within a particular app? If so, not all apps support AirPlay as shown in Note 2 under "Stream video from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to a TV" here: Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror the screen of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
